The Client –
GreenFellas is a garden fencing & landscaping company based out of North London wanting to get more business by reaching customers looking for local garden fencing & landscaping services. Tattvam Media provided local SEO to achieve this goal.
The Challenge –
GreenFellas are expert fence, shed and shed base installers and have been working in North London for over 15 years. They needed a digital marketing partner to deliver on their goals of generating more traffic & leads.
We ran our 5 step Local SEO Optimization Process & took the following steps –
Step #1 – Website & 360 Degree Online Presence Audit
The team did proper analysis of the website & client’s online presence on all other platforms. And we found that client had presence on Yell(UK’s Business Directory), Youtube, Google Place Listing, Facebook etc.
We found few issues with the site architecture & navigation.
Step #2 – Competition Analysis
We found following things while doing competition analysis –
1. Low Amount of Unoptimized Content – The #1 position had very less content on the ranking page & it was not properly optimized for the
2. Low Amounts of Links – Most of the sites had under 50 referring domains and most of the links were directories, social profiles or local
(newspaper, events, forums etc) links anyway.
3. Non-optimized Pages – Most of the pages ranking didn’t even have a Meta description, let alone other parts of the page optimized.
Overall we saw that most of these websites were optimized by the web design agencies that built the sites, who probably didn’t know much about SEO, or had a basic understanding of it and just upsold it to the design clients to make a bit of extra money.
Step #3 – Strategy Creation
We did our On-Page & Off-Page audit on the website & all other online assets of the clients. Also deep keyword research was done for client’s niche. And then a strategy was created to rank all these assets for selected keywords.
Our strategy included ranking of all online assets to leverage the value of these assets! Youtube, Yell, Facebook – all these platforms are very authoritative in Google and it also builds trust for the brand.
Step #4 – Improving On-Page Factors
According to the On-Page audit report, appropriate changes were done in the content, site navigation, meta tags, sitemaps for the website. Also we added client’s phone number in the sidebar.
For Facebook, Yell, Youtube & Google Place Listing – We optimized the content with the relevant keywords & appropriate changes were done.
Step #5 – Improving Off-Page Factors
We mainly focused on getting niche relevant & local backlinks for the website & for all online assets.
For Local & National Citations, we used a few Google footprints, such as:
location + directory
location + submit site
location + company listings
And our team did all the submissions which were super relevant to our client’s market segment.
Also our team ran all other off-page campaigns including outreach to get more relevant backlinks. The backlinks were created with proper use of anchor texts & were also created for Facebook, Yell & Youtube.
Once we had done all of these, the backlinks were inserted in the indexers to get them indexed in Google.
The client’s website is ranking #1 for all main keywords & ranking #1 in
Google Place Listings. Also multiple web assets are ranking in first page of
Google for major keywords & hence he is dominating his market.
